Article I: Name
The name of this organization shall be the “Dirt Nerds & Radios Radio Club,” herein referred to as the “Club.”
Article II: Nature and Purpose
The Club is established as a community-oriented entity dedicated to fostering the exploration and advancement of amateur radio activities. Its objectives include:
Section 1: Amateur Radio Activities
Engaging in amateur radio pursuits in accordance with FCC Part 97 Rules and Regulations, promoting the evolution of radio technology, and encouraging scientific exploration within the amateur radio community.
Section 2: Education and Knowledge:
Enhancing interest, knowledge, and participation in amateur radio communication and related technologies among members.
Section 3: Integration in Outdoor Pursuits
Facilitating the incorporation of amateur radio technology in outdoor activities, promoting safety and communication capabilities during such endeavors.
Section 4: Exchange of Information
Providing a collaborative platform for members to exchange experiences, information, and innovative ideas related to amateur radio.
Section 5: Education Support
Supporting educational initiatives, training programs, and activities focused on advancing amateur radio operations and technology.
Article III: Membership
Membership in the Club shall be open to individuals interested in amateur radio, fostering an inclusive environment regardless of race, gender, nationality, religion, or disability. All membership levels, criteria, and duties including membership fees shall be established and governed by the by-laws of the Club.
Article IV: Club Meetings
There will be no regular requirement for members to attend any meetings so long as they continue to participate in other activities offered through the Club. If any meeting is required, The Club shall offer and make use of modern virtual meeting technology offerings as an alternative to physical presence at any meeting.
Article V: Governance
The Club shall be governed by its by-laws, administered by elected officers, and operate in accordance with established policies and procedures outlined within the by-laws.
Article VI: Amendment
In the event of amendment to either the Club’s constitution or by-laws, the process shall be established, operated, and governed as described in the by-laws of the Club.
Article VII: Dissolution
In the event of dissolution, the Club’s remaining assets shall be distributed to organization(s) aligned with similar objectives, as determined by the officers at the time of dissolution.
Article VIII: Adoption
This initial document was adopted upon approval by a majority vote of the members present at a regular meeting on December 9th, 2023.
